In this updated book, Ian provides commentary on the changes to the regulation of food law in the United Kingdom, particularly in relation to Great Britain, following the UK’s departure from the European Union. He explains how domestic law required amendment to enable food law to be relevant to and applicable in Great Britain for the protection of consumers.
Ian then provides an update on domestic legal provisions relating to official controls, enforcement, criminal prosecutions and sentencing.
The book also includes chapters on some of the main food law topics such as; safety, hygiene, food information, nutrition and health claims and traceability, withdrawals and recalls.
