The Food Safety Authority of Ireland reports that during May 2012 six Closure Orders and one Prohibition Order were served on food businesses. The enforcement orders were issued by environmental health officers working in the Health Service Executive.
In May, the Health Service Executive also took a prosecution against Tesco Ireland Limited for breaching food hygiene legislation at the Tesco Extra Store at Carton Park, Maynooth, County Kildare.
